Account Wallets in Progress Report

An important function of your daily operations is accepting payments for fees and incidentals. In order to accept payments in Progress Report, you first need to set up your account properly following these steps:

  1. Create your Organization and set up Stripe for credit card processing.
  2. Add Members to your organization as outlined in the same help article.
  3. Funding of the Wallet can be done at any time after the member is created, but it is usual to create a recurring billable Product and assign it to the member to generate Invoices on a regular basis.

How the Wallet Works

Invoices must be paid from the member's Wallet. Think of this as a flexible spending account. At any time, a member may add funds to their wallet using their preferred form of payment. When they need to pay for services or products provided by the sober home, they simply use the funds in their wallet to do so.

The Fund Wallet module can be accessed from the member's Summary page or from the Financials > Wallet page.

Accepted Forms of Payment

Each member has a wallet to which you may assign funds from many sources:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Venmo
  • PayPal
  • Cash App
  • Zelle
  • Credit Card*
  • or Other

*Credit Card usage require a Stripe account and incurs a 5% fee for usage. For more information, check out our Pricing page.

Member invoices

Pay an Invoice

To pay an invoice, go to the member's Financials > Invoices page and select the invoice you wish to pay from the member's wallet. You may enter in the amount of the invoice you wish to apply to the invoice by entering in a custom number in the amount field, but the full amount of the invoice will appear in the field by default. If there are not enough funds in the wallet to cover the invoice, you will receive a warning at the bottom of the dialog box, as shown below.

A verification email will be sent to the administrator account confirming that the invoice has been paid.

Wallet Transaction Summary

The Wallet page offers quick access to all of the transactions which have occurred on the member's wallet. This can be handy for quickly verifying when funds have been added or removed from the account for any reason.
